Abstract

1420535 Evaluating moving averages SIEMENS AG 18 Jan 1974 [18 Jan 1973] 02559/74 Heading G1U A moving average of an input signal evaluated over a period of T=nt, n#2, is updated and made available at instants of time spaced t apart. As described, in a first embodiment, a voltage magnitude U, Fig. 1, is converted M into a corresponding frequency significant pulse train f, the pulses of which are counted independently by n counters Z1, Z2, ..,Zn, and the counters are successively read out via gates G1m, G2m, .. ,Gnm, to a utilization device ASP, and zeroized at instants of time spaced apart by t, under the control of a clock TG and a shift register SR containing a single circulating one bit. A second embodiment Fig. 2 (not shown) uses a single counter (Za), (n+1) shift registers (SR1-SRa+1) and a subtractor (AD).
