Abstract
1420419 Refining oils DEUTSCHE TEXACO AG 13 April 1973 17945/73 Heading C5E An oil suitable for use as a printing ink oil is an aromatics-rich, dewaxed extract of a paraffinbased petroleum fraction and has a boiling range at atmospheric pressure within the range 320-620‹C., a viscosity at 50‹C. of 20-500 cSt and a pour point of -25‹ to +5‹ C. The oil can be produced by extracting the petroleum fraction with furfural and dewaxing the extract with methyl ethyl ketone or with a mixture of dichloroethane and methylene chloride.
