Abstract

1418543 Regulating fuel to IC engines DEUTSCHE VERGASER GmbH & CO KG 14 June 1973 [19 June 1972] 28382/73 Heading F1B A fuel feed regulator for spark ignition I.C. engines comprises a three dimensional cam 20 having an axis along which it is displaced in dependence upon engine speed and about which it is rotationed in dependence upon the difference in pressure upstream and downstream of throttle 3 in induction passage 1, the pressure difference being influenced by a valve 6 which in use controls a duct 5 by-passing the throttle valve 3, in dependence upon engine coolant temperature the cam movements being for controlling the fuel supply. Rotational displacement of the cam is affected by pneumatic actuator 10 connected to a point downstream of the throttle by pipe 7 and to a point upstream of the throttle by pipe 12 or open to atmosphere. An adjustable throttling element 8 is provided in pipe 7 to damp sudden changes in pressure.
