Tyres with rims enclosing air tubes or or chambers; jackets and covers; rims; tyre attachments to rims; disk wheels.- In wheels of the kind in which a resilient member is placed between an air-tube arranged within a wheel casing and an outer cover having beaded edges engaged in rim flanges, the resilient member 12 is formed with extensions 21 adapted to be pressed by the inflated tube 6 to hold the beaded edges 3 in engagement with the rim flanges 2. The air-tube may be replaced by two arranged side by side. The rim flanges may be the edges of a pair of disks 5, Fig. 2, forming the wheel body, between which may be secured an intermediate piece 7 shaped to form a bed for the air-tube, and a protective strip 9 may be secured to the piece 7. The resilient member may have external circumferential cavities 25 and intermediate ribs 24, and internal passages 49, Fig. 14, which may be filled with soft rubber; and it may be formed in two pieces interlocked together. The outer cover may have a projection 51, Fig. 11, or a recess 64, Fig. 14, to engage with the resilient member, and it may be formed with passages 15, Figs. 2 and 6, which may be filled with soft rubber. The rim flanges may be connected together by bolts 35, Fig. 6, passing through apertures 37 in the resilient member. The cover may have extensions 66, Figs. 14 and 15, secured to the rim flanges by bolts 67 and metal rings 68. The rim flanges may be separately connected to separate halves of the hub by different sets of wire spokes 74, Fig. 16, and connected together by bolts 73. The wheel body may be formed of two disks 32, Fig. 19, integral with the hub, two additional disks 1, and the intermediate piece 7. Apertures 30, Fig. 2, in the piece 7 permit circulation of air in the spaces 23. The hub may be detachably secured as described in Specification 119,719, [Class 144 (i), Wheels for vehicles].
