1417701 Lamps VALUE CONTROL Ltd 20 Feb 1973 [23 Feb 1972] 8453/72 Heading F4R [Also in Division H2] A lamp is adapted to plug bodily into a mains socket. Pins E, L mounted on the rear cover 10 feed a low voltage bulb, 17 (Fig. 3, not shown) via a transformer 13 and contacts (18,19). The light passes through a window 23 in the front cover 21. The bulb 17 is mounted in a housing 15 having an aperture 16 for light to pass and the housing 15 is rotatable, from outside, to allow the light to be blocked by moving the aperture 16 away from the window 23. Alternatively or additionally the rotation may break the circuit to the bulb 17. Alternatively a shutter (not shown) may be brought in front of the bulb. The window 23 may be integral with the cover 21 or a separate part.
