Abstract

1415731 Packs UNILEVER Ltd 18 April 1973 [25 April 1972] 18634/73 Heading B8C A pack comprises a bottom part 1 having an outwardly extending peripheral flange 2, and a lid 3 of aluminium foil beaded over the flange and having a piece of cardboard adhered to the foil only over an area corresponding to the entire top area of the bottom part. A grip and lid aligning tab 5 or tabs may be connected by a fold line 8 to an edge or to two opposing edges respectively of the cardboard. The fold line permits the tab to spring back after the foil has been folded. The lid components may be supplied from a common roll or from a pair of rolls and then adhered together. The cardboard may be coated with polypropylene or a mixed adhesive may be used. The lower part 1 may be deep drawn or made from cardboard coated with polypropylene.
