Abstract

1466597 Surgical drape sheets JOHNSON & JOHNSON 1 Aug 1974 [2 Aug 1973] 33993/74 Heading A5R A surgical drape sheet 1, Fig. 2, has a rectangular fenestration and flaps 3 integral with two opposed sides of said fenestration, such that, after placement of the drape 1 over the patient and removal of the cover strips 6, the flaps 3 are folded under the drape to adhere to the skin of the patient by means of pressure-sensitive adhesive 5. In a modification, Figs. 5-7 (not shown), a flap is provided on each side of the fenestration. In an alternative embodiment, Fig. 9, a fenestration 11 of a drape 10 is formed with two rectangular flaps 12 integral with a pair of opposed edges of said fenestration, before application, the flaps 12 are folded back on top of the drape along fold lines 16 with the placement of the drape in position and removal of cover sheets 15 the flaps 12 are folded into fenestration 11 to adhere to the skin of the patient.
