Weft-feeler arrangements.-A weft-feeler device for causing weft replenishment when the weft is substantially exhausted comprises a penetrating member 19 which has two spaced penetrating points 17 and is carried by the impinging head or member 15 of a feeler slide 6. Normally, the member 19 is caused to project through a slot in the member 15 by the action of an adjustable bolt 25 tapped into a finger 21 acted upon by a spring-controlled bolt 30, so that when the lay beats up, if weft is present in working quantity opposite both or either of the points 17, the points 17, or one of them, sink into it. The member 15 then engages the weft mass, and both members 15, 19 are moved frontwards, in the relative position shown in Fig. 2, against the action of a spring on the stem 9 of the feeler slide, the finger 21 remaining raised. When the weft is substantially exhausted opposite both points 17, the bobbin engages the member 19 and moves it inwards before engaging the member 15, thus turning the finger 21 about its pivot 20, as shown in Fig. 4, so that when the members 15, 19 are moved frontwards as the beat-up continues, the finger 21 engages a part 14, which controls automatic weft replenishment.
