Weft - replenishing mechanism.-Relates to weft-feeler devices of the type wherein the weft feeler moves, at the moment of detection of substantial weft - exhaustion, in a direction parallel to the axis of the shuttle. The feeler k, furnished with blunt teeth, is connected by parallel links i, i<1> to the head h of a sliding bar c carried by a bracket b. If sufficient weft is present, when the lay moves forwards the feeler cannot slip sideways, but is moved backwards by the forwardly-moving bobbin, thus pressing backwards the slide c against the action of a spring f. A screw q on the slide c then engages the inclined part o of a spring-controlled lever m, which is thus rocked, a curved surface s thereon engaging a pin z on a pawl r and raising this pawl out of the path of the weft-hammer. When the weft is substantially exhausted, the feeler k is moved sideways and not backwards, so that the bar c and lever m are not actuated and the pawl r remains in the path of the weft-hammer, whereupon the weft-bobbin changing mechanism is actuated. The slide c may be guided by a bolt d, which engages a slot e in the bracket b.
