Abstract

1415253 Releasable fastenings BRITISH LEYLAND UK Ltd 16 April 1974 [12 Jan 1973] 1658/73 Heading E2A A device for attaching a shoulder strap of a seat belt to a vehicle has at least two latch connectors 21 which are vertically spaced apart when the device is in its operative position and are such that each are adapted to releasably engage latching member 15 attached to the shoulder strap so that the latter may be releasably connected to any one of the latch connectors. As shown, a channel-shaped housing 11 for securing to a vehicle post, has slots 14 for the reception of the tongue 15 which is guided by a nylon block 18 and fastened by a spring-loaded, pivoted latch 21 having a rocker 25 engageable by the rocker of a spring-loaded pushbutton 27.
