Abstract

1414433 Packaging ampoules GIRAUDET EMBALLAGES 9 Nov 1973 [10 Nov 1972] 52026/73 Heading B8C A support for ampoules comprises a base 7, 8 and two parallel, pneumatic stands folded up from opposite marginal portions of the base, each stand having openings for receiving the ends of a set of ampoules and being held erect by connector lugs 6 which are integral with the base 7, 8 on one side of each stand and extend beneath the stand through apertures 4 to engage slots 5. The lugs 6 are cut from the support material so as to form the article-receiving openings. Similarly, further lugs are cut to form the apertures 4, and lie beneath the lugs 6. The lugs 6 are held in position by friction. Before packing the ampoules, the support is partially erected so that each ampoule may be lowered into an article-receiving opening without deforming the support. Finally the connector lugs 6 are pushed fully through the apertures 4 until they engage the slots 5. A plurality of blanks may be formed as a single unit.
