Abstract

1414839 Packaging ampoules GIRAUDET EMBALLAGES 12 Nov 1973 [13 Nov 1972] 52416/73 Heading B8C A support for ampoules comprises a base 14, 16 and two parallel, prismatic stands folded up from opposite marginal portions of the base, at least one stand having openings 12 for receiving the ends of a set of ampoules and being held erect by connector lugs 8 which are integral with the associated margin 16 of the base and extend below the stand through the bases of the openings 12. Further lugs are formed integrally with the central portion 14 of the base when the openings 12 are cut. These lugs lie beneath the connector lugs 8 and assist in holding the stands erect. The sides of the lugs are contoured to limit their movement through the hollows. The second stand may take the form disclosed in Specification 1,414,433. Before insertion of the ampoules, each stand is partially erected so that the ampoules may be lowered into the article-receiving openings without deforming the support. Finally, the connector lugs 8 are pushed fully through the openings. A plurality of support blanks may be formed as a single unit.
