Abstract

1413752 Coaxial terminator GILBERT ENG CO Inc 21 Feb 1973 [20 Oct 1972] 8430/73 Heading H2E [Also in Division B3] A tamper resistant assembly for attaching to a fixed cable terminal 23 of a CATV cable transmission system when the terminal is not in use comprises a connector member 11 having threads 15 for engaging the fixed terminal and slots 16 engageable by an elongate tool (Figs. 6, 7, 8, not shown), an outer shield 13 in which connector member 11 is mounted to be freely rotatable and which encloses the connector members 11, 23 when they areengaged, means, e.g. aspring ring 18 which retains member 11 in shield 13 and is inaccessible from outside the shield when the connector members are locked together and an aperture in shield 13 through which the elongate tool can be inserted to lock or unlock the two connector members. A conductor 45 connected to a resistor within member 11 engages the control conductor of terminal 23 and provides the necessary terminal impedance.
