Abstract

1409370 Two-part couplings CAVIS-CAVETTI ISOLATI SpA 7 March 1973 [14 July 1972] 11068/73 Heading H2E An adapter for connecting tape cables 13 to rigid terminals 14 mounted on an appliance 15 comprises a plastics body 1 having an open cavity 2 with a central partition wall 3 from which extend resilient arms 4, 4<SP>1</SP> which form terminal receiving slots 6, 6<SP>1</SP> with side walls of the body, there being a recess 8 adjacent each slot 6, 6<SP>1</SP> in which is seated a resilient clamping member 10 against a projection 9 which, in use, clamps together a tape cable 13 and a terminal 14 inserted in a slot 6 or 6<SP>1</SP>. Each arm 4, 4<SP>1</SP> has a protrusion 15 adapted to latch with a through hole 16 in the terminals 14. The adapter is shown (Figs. 2 and 3, not here reproduced) with a third recess (8), slot (7) and clamping member (10) for receiving a third terminal (12), but there being no arm 4 associated with the third recess.
