1413297 Springs; linkwork; toggles INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP 1 Dec 1972 [1 Dec 1971] 55469/72 Headings F2S and F2K A snap-action control mechanism for effecting high speed transfer of a member 3 between two stable positions, comprising two spaced apart bracket members 2, 3 each capable of pivoting about an axis through its centre and attached to a spring 1 having two stable positions of arcuate form; and a control member 4 operable to cause one of said bracket members, 2, to pivot alternately clockwise and anticlockwise through a predetermined angle whereby the spring 1 snaps between its two stable positions causing the other of the bracket member 3 to be snapped between its two stable positions. The control member 4 may have a forked end which engages with its free ends 4a, 4b with each in turn of the projections 7a, 7b on the bracket member 2 and may be carried on a linearly moving operating member 8 with freedom to pivot against a spring 5a.
