Claims (7)

2. WHAT WE CLAIM IS: ( 1. An electrical momentary contact non-bounce switch comprising an insulating support, at least one pair of electrical contacts mounted in said support, a deflectable member attached to one contact of said pair and being deflectable away from a normal rest position towards, and away from the other contact of said pair, and a switch actuating member movable so as to deflect said deflectable member in a direction away from the said other contact, the deflectable member being arranged to become released from the switch actuating member and move back towards the said other contact after deflection by the switch actuating member through a predetermined distance, characterised in that, the switch actuating member (26 ) is movable perpendicularly to the deflectable member (18 or 19) , and a pendular mass (16 or 17 ) is associated with said deflectable member and is arranged to carry said deflectable member, after released thereof as aforesaid, back through its normal rest position and into momentary electrical contact with said other contact (14 or 15 ) . 2 * A switch according to claim 1 wherein the said electrical contact between said pair of contacts is arranged to be made via. said deflectable member, characterised in that the pendular mass (16 or 17 ) of said deflectable member is arranged to contact the other contact (14 or 15 ) of said pair.
3. . A switch as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2 characterised in that said deflectable member is an elongated member (18 or 19 ) carrying said pendular mass ( 16 or 17 ) proximate one end thereof and being fixed to said support (12 ) at the other end thereof.

A switch as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 3 characterised in that said switch actuating member comprises a cam assembly (26 ) mounted for r&lative movement against said deflectable member (18 or 19) said cam assembly being so shaped that, as it is moved / relative to the deflectable member, said deflectable member encounters a first cam surface (38 or 39) forming means to deflect said member in a first direction away from said one contact (14 or 15) and then encounters a second cam surface (40 or 41 ) allowing move¬ 5 ment of said deflectable member toward said one contact and in that, said second cam surface (40 or 41) and a fixed cam surface (32 or 33) are arranged for relative movement with one another to form means to urge said deflectable member back along said second surface (40 or 41) onto said first cam surface (38 or 39). 10
5. A switch as claimed in claim 4 characterised in that said fixed cam surface ( 32,33) is integral with said insulating support (12) and said cam assembly (26) is biased against a return spring (34) positioned between said assembly and said support.

A switoh as claimed in claim 4 or 5 characterised in that 15 said cam assembly (26) is adapted to immoblize said deflectable member (18 or 1 9 ) when said switch is not in use said immoblization being achieved by said deflectable member being in normal biased relationship against said cam assembly.

A switch as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 6 characterised in that electrical contact between said pair of contacts (14, 24 or 15,25) can be made only by deflection of the deflactable member (18 or 1 9 ) as aforesaid.
