1413114 Pistons HEPWORTH & GRANDAGE Ltd 7 March 1973 [11 Dec 1971] 57651/71 Heading F2T A piston for operation at a temperature not exceeding 200‹ C. is made of glass-reinforced nylon. The nylon may include a proportion of graphite, P.T.F.E. or molybdenum disulphide. The piston may operate in a metal, preferably, cast iron, cylinder bore and, preferably, is fitted with a piston ring of plastics, preferably P.T.F.E. and has a metal, e.g. steel, gudgeon pin.
