Abstract

1,168,527. Pistons. ZEFEX Inc. 8 Aug., 1967 [11 Aug., 1966], No. 36296/67. Heading F2T. [Also in Division F1] A reciprocating compressor has a piston 11 with a recessed skirt into which is fitted a bearing sleeve of P.T.F.E. To enable the sleeve to be fitted to the piston and to improve heat dissipation during operation, the sleeve is provided with slits 51 extending from each end. Piston rings 29 also of P.T.F.E. are provided.
