1410730 Latches VELTO INDUSTRIES Ltd 29 Nov 1973 [30 Nov 1972] 55483/73 Heading E2A A pivoted door latch 32 of the sort that is adapted to be secured in the jamb and to be pressed back into its releasing position by a handle-operated push-rod on the door, is provided with lateral ribs 106 which slide in grooves 107 in the latch casing 30 and serve to relieve the bolt pivot 95 of loading caused by attempts at forcing the door open. The outward movement of the bolt is limited by stops 112 in grooves 114. The whole unit is of plastics.
