Abstract

1409781 Electro-photographic materials ADDRESSOGRAPH MULTIGRAPH CORP 13 July 1972 [14 July 1971] 32904/72 Heading G2C An electro-photographic member for producing printing plates comprises a flexible support, a photo-conductive layer and an oleophobic, inkrepellant polysiloxane layer, the ratio of organic groups to silicon atoms being between 1.95 and 2.1:1. Alternatively, the polysiloxane and photoconductor may be in the same layer. Specified photo-conductors ZnO and the oxides and sulphoxides of Cd, Hg, Sb, Bi, Tl, Mb, Al, Pb or Zn, anthracene, benzidine, anthroquinone, acenaphthene, fluoranthene and naphthalene. The preferred photo-conductor, ZnO, may be dispersed in a binder of a vinyl polymer or an acrylic or urea- or xylene/formaldehyde resin. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 1217723 and 903964.
