Abstract
1409009 Silver salts FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 20 Dec 1973 [20 Dec 1972] 59232/73 Heading C2C [Also in Division G2] In Examples 1, 5 and 8, silver behenate, silver laurate and the silver salt of benzotriazole respectively are prepared by mixing solutions of behenic or lauric acid or of benzotriazole in substantially water-immiscible organic solvents (e.g. toluene, butyl acetate, isoamyl acetate) with aqueous dilute nitric acid, and then reacting the mixture with aqueous ammoniacal silver nitrate solution with stirring. The organic phase containing a dispersion of crystals of the desired silver salts is washed with water and the crystals collected by centrifuge.
