Abstract
1408895 Electrophonic musical instruments G G A BOLIN 18 Sept 1972 [28 Sept 1971] 43136/72 Heading G5J In an electric guitar, violin or piano each string excites a crystal transducer in a bridge 16 and the amplifier 24 drives an electromagnetic transducer 32, 34 connected to a resonator 30 which reproduces the resonances of the soundboard of the instrument. The resonator 30 may take various forms and may be incorporated in a stool, a table, or a cabinet (Figs. 3, 8, 10 and 11, not shown).
