Abstract

1408686 Unjointing INTERNATIONELLA SIPOREX AB 13 Dec 1973 [21 Dec 1972] 57705/73 Heading B3V Bodies 1, 2 adhered to one another at 2a are forced apart by apparatus comprising jaws 13, 15 connected to a holder 9 operated by an actuator 5, and counterholding means 24, 25, the connection 10, 11 between the jaws 13, 15 and holder 9 being such that after engaging the bodies the jaws are forced apart, Fig. 2 (not shown). Slabs of steam-hardened cellular concrete may be separated by the apparatus, in which the counterholding means 24, 25 may be of the same form as the clamping means or, as shown, comprise horizontal toggles 22, 23 operated by an actuator 29 for moving the jaws 24, 25 between operative and inoperative positions. At least one pair of toggle links connect the jaws 13, 15 to the holder 9, arid springs may bias the link 10, 11, jaws 13, 15 and the hydraulic cylinder 5 to the next position. The stack of slabs can be raised on a table 4 or additional means may temporarily lock the jaws 13, 15 against separation so that the jaws may hold the slabs while the table 4 is lowered and a carriage is positioned for removal of the slabs. Several jaw units and counterholding units may be used on opposite sides of the apparatus. The links 10, 11 may be replaced by semi-elliptic springs, and the jaws may conform to grooves or ridges on the slabs.
