Abstract

PURPOSE: To make possible the clamping in correct position on a stationary platen at all times by setting a transfer belt orthogonally by leaving a suitable spacing between a pair of chains which are turned on a turning track.
CONSTITUTION: The plate on a feed conveyor 21 is synchronously placed through driving of a prime mover 15 on the transfer belt 17 set between a pair of chains 13 in the feed direction of a single-stage flat plate press 8. In that state, the plate 9 on the transfer belt 17 is transferred to the correct position of a stationary platen 5 by the endless turning of a pair of the chains 13, after which the turning is once stopped. Thereafter, a movable platen 7 is lowered by the operation of a ram cylinder 6 and the plate 9 is compressed for a fixed time. After the compression is released, a pair of the chains 13 are again turned endless by the driving of the prime mover 15 so that the compressed plate 9 on the transfer belt 17 is taken out to outside the single-stage flat plate press 8.
