Abstract

858,412. Laminating apparatus. WST PATENTER A.B. March 6, 1957 [Nov. 28, 1956], No. 7381/57. Class 140. [Also in Group XXIX] A multi-opening hydraulic press 2 has at one side a feeding device 4 having reciprocable plates 5 for introducing glued slabs 24 between pressing plates 3, and at the opposite side a receiving device 26 comprising driven rollers 27 and rollers 30 arranged in downwardlysloping planes. The plates 5 are secured to beams 22 fastened to chains 20, 21 co-operating with sprockets on shafts 6, 12 driven by a motor 9 through chain-andsprocket gearing. When the plates 5 are moved forwardly the objects pressed during the previous operation of the press are moved forwards by the ends of the plates 5 until they reach the rollers 27 and are removed from the press. At the end of the forward stroke of the plates 5, arms 25, mounted on sleeves driven by a motor (not shown), are turned to engage the ends of the objects on the plates 5 so that when the plates are retracted the objects remain in place. When the plates 5 are fully retracted the arms are returned to their initial position.
