Abstract

1407025 Castors; buffers R C M MACARTHUR 2 July 1973 [11 April 1972] 16521/72 Heading A4U [Also in Division B7 and B8] A trolley wheel arrangement for attachment to a suitcase or like container comprises a number of wheel mounting assemblies and castor wheels, each wheel 24 having a projection 26 which is removably insertable in an open ended slot 40 in a mounting plate 14 of each assembly.the plate 14 being spaced from the suitcase by resilient spacers 22. Each assembly has plates 10, 12 for fitment to the inner and outer sides of the container wall and a plate 14 in which slot 40 is formed. All the plates are bolted together, plates 12 and 14 being spaced by resilient sleeves 22, and the bolt securing nuts 20 are provided with protective resilient pads 42. The projections 26 each have a tapered head 30 and are mounted on plates 28 fixed to one race of an anti-friction bearing 34 of each wheel. The suitcase or container may be provided with a pulling handle (42') Fig.1 (not shown).
