Abstract

1308083 Castors FLEXELLO CASTORS & WHEELS Ltd 22 Dec 1971 [22 Dec 1970] 60840/70 Heading A4U [Also in Division B7] A swivelling castor assembly, including a ground-engaging wheel 2 carried by a rigid plate 7 non-rotatably secured to a bush 8 is mounted on a structure 11 which is to be supported with the plate 7 abutting the under surface of the structure, by a headed bolt 16 which passes through the bush, and through a hard rubber block 12 depending concentrically from a metal disc 13 and interposed between a securing nut 17 and the structure 11, the plate 7 being capable of shock-absorbing movement away from the article 11 to a distance limited by the resilient flexing of the block 12. Bearing balls 9 are trapped in a race 10 between the plate 7 and a plate 3 which is rotatable on the bush 8. In a different arrangement the plate 7 is positioned between the undersurface of the article and the block 12.
