Abstract

1,199,897. Resilient wheels. SVENSKA AB. BROMSREGULATOR. 5 July, 1969, No. 34022/69. Heading B7C. A resilient railway vehicle wheel comprises a rim 5 having a flange 6 extending between axially spaced wheel discs 2, 3, integral with or secured to a hub portion 1, and a plurality of rubber discs 7 mounted on circumferentially spaced bolts 8, each rubber disc being secured to a metal plate 12 at its surface facing the corresponding wheel disc, and each of the plates 12 having a central frusto-conical portion 14 clamped between a shoulder on the respective bolt and the corresponding wheel disc. A plate 13 is seamed to the appropriate face of each disc 2 and 3. The plates 12 and plates 13, seated in the flange 6 at 15, are secured to the rubber discs by vulcanization or adhesive. Wheel disc 3 is detachable by means of screws 4. The plates 13 have spacers 17 engaging holes in flange 6.
