Abstract
1406815 Disc mills ESCHER WYSS GmbH 15 Sept 1972 [17 Sept 1971] 42996/72 Heading B2A A disc mill has the stator 8 Fig. 1 movable, relative to the rotor 7 by a fluid-pressure servo motor 14. The servo-motor has a main piston 16 displaceable by pressurizing either of chambers 17 or 18. A pressure chamber 24 is filled with liquid via a pipe 25. Movement of the stator 8 towards the rotor 7 is limited by the abutment of the surface 22 of a piston 21 with the piston 16 according to the amount of liquid filling and locked in the chamber 24. The stator is guided relative to the housing by a part 9 which is in turn guided by arms 11 and bolts 12 on guideways 13. This part 9 may include in a second embodiment a cavity 26, Fig. 2, housing the servo-motor and the abutment piston 30. In a further embodiment, three servo motors 33 Fig. 3 are arranged on guideways 13 and these may either be a single piston arrangement, or a double piston arrangement (Fig. 5). This has two cylinders 45, 46 and one abutment piston 53.
