Abstract

140,557. Flower, A. L. Feb. 13, 1919. Bottles, washing.-The bottles are inverted over nozzles f provided with rubbers g and carried by a rotary rinsing-wheel b, and pass between inner and outer annular brushes a, h. The inner brush is rotated at a different speed from that of the wheel, and is built up of a number of radially slidable sections. The bottles are given an up- and-down motion by means of supporting-arms l which engage a fixed cam-track k. Stationary brushes for the bottoms and necks of the bottles may also be provided. According to the Provisional Specification, the up-and-down movement of the bottles may be imparted through a lever and a roller running on the cam-track.
