Abstract
1404831 Weather seal; tent-like building L STROMEYER & CO 25 July 1972 [26 July 1971 21 Aug 1971] 34690/72 Headings E1A and E1J [Also in Division F2] The gap between the top of a building's wall 1 and a flexible roof skin 4 transversely movable relative to the wall is sealed by an inflatable tube 7 secured either to the top of the wall or, Fig. 6 (not shown), to the edge of the skin 4. The tube may be mounted on an L, U or V sectioned member on top of the wall and a flap 9 on the skin 4 (which is slidably mounted on ropes 2) forms an additional draught excluder. To prevent the sides of the tube from covering the valve 12 during deflation, the valve may be covered by a hemispherical cage 16 or an elongate spacing member 17 may be provided which may be a porous foam; an apertured tube or a moulding having closely spaced channels therein.
