Abstract
1,186,800. Bathing caps. H. GERSON. 8 Aug., 1968 [9 Aug., 1967; 9 Nov., 1967], No. 37963/68. Heading A3V. A bathing cap 1 has a marginal hollow band 2 with holes 4<1> or slots and connected to a suction pump 5 for providing a seal against the head of the wearer. The band may be divided into sections each connected to a pump 5, 5<1>, Fig. 2 (not shown); these pumps may be incorporated in the wall of the cap. Various sections of bands are described, Figs. (3-8) (not shown) including bands with three walls to provide two sealing spaces (Fig. 6). The band has a sealing face of foam or porous rubber or plastics material, Fig. 8, or with flexible lips (32), Fig. 7 (not shown).
