Abstract

1404735 Releasable fastenings TRISA BURSTENFABRIK AG TRIENGEN 18 Jan 1974 [30 Jan 1973] 2338/74 Heading E2B [Also in Divisions B4 and F2] Coupling means, particularly for coupling coaxial components of a hand tool handle, comprises a frusto-conical pin 11 engageable in a frusto conical socket 21, the pin having a laterally extending key 12 at its small end which is engageable with an annular shoulder 23 at the corresponding end of the socket to provide a bayonet-like coupling joint, the surface 23 being slightly inclined so that in the fastened position of the pin and socket, annular abutment surfaces 31, 32 thereon are drawn into tight engagement. The pin and socket are provided with respective tubular extension portions adapted for fitting the coupling e.g. to tubular handle components R 1 R 2 . Reference is made to handles of brooms mops and sponge holders.
