424,516. Fixing broom - handles. CREIGHTON, F. J., 37, Hawkins Crescent, Harrow-on-the-Hill, Middlesex. Nov. 7, 1933, No. 30945. [Class 61 (i)] A broom-handle &c. fixing socket 1 of the kind having cut out tongues with outwardly directed teeth 2 adapted to enter the wall of the socket in the broom head when the handle is driven in is provided with points 5 at its operative end; these points may be bevelled off on the inside so as to spread when the handle is driven in. The end of the socket may have two or more axial cuts to accommodate handles of slightly different diameter or the socket may be split down one side or in halves.
