[Class 61 (i)] The handle hole or socket B in a broom or mop head A is formed tapering at its outward end C to enable an over size handle to be driven in without having to taper the handle end, or the tapered part of socket may be formed in a metal ring secured to the head and the metal may extend part or all the way down the socket forming a liner therefor.
