1403093 Electric cable connector THORN ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 6 Oct 1972 46302/72 Heading H2E A coupling for electric cables comprises two mating connector members containing cooperating contacts, as 14, one connector member having studs 20 and th other having, for each stud 20, a receiver 30 with a resilient element 31, which is displaced and springs back to trap stud 20 as it is pushed in and releases it when a force in excess of a certain value is applied to separate the connector members. In connector member 11, tubular member 13, bearing pins 14 in an insulating insert, has one or more keys 16 which enter keyways in the other connector member. Sleeves 22, 23 are rotatable. Spring clip 31 is in a pocket 32 in the inner part 35 of sleeve 23.
