1401892 Packages OWENS-ILLINOIS Inc 22 June 1973 29718/73 Heading B8C A moulded plastics carrier 11 for holding a group of containers 12 comprises individual frusto-conical compartments 17 each with a top opening defined by a yieldable annular edge 19 which passes over and engages under the outwardly extending skirt 20 of each container closure 14. Compartments 17 extend from top and side portions 23, 22 which hold the containers together and provide unitary strength. Tear-tabs 29 break each compartment for removal of its container. In the case of screw-cap bottles, edge 19 engages a raised bead of each bottle adjacent the cap.
