Abstract

1400255 Regenerating driers for gases BRITISH TITAN Ltd 9 Aug 1973 [31 May 1972] 25368/72 Heading B1L A gas to be dried is fed to absorber 3 and the product leaves the system at 9. A proportion of the dried gas not exceeding 10% by vol. passes by line 18 into the heated circulating gas being used to regenerate the identical absorber 3'. After passing through the absorber 3' the regenerating gas is recirculated via condenser 11. by blower 14 and heater 16 but a proportion of gas which is wet is vented to atmosphere at 17 and a proportion of the circulating gas not exceeding 10% by volume of the circulating gas is vented at 20 by the two-way valve to prevent this valve becoming a condensation sump.
