Hoods, opening tops, and weather screens. - A hood or weather screen for motor-cars comprises two or more sections circular in plan, each adapted to slide in an horizontal circular track so as to form a complete or partial enclosure. As shown, the hood comprises two spheroidal glazed sections 1, 2, each having on its lower edge a frame member 4 adapted to embrace and slide upon an horizontal circular track member 5. Balls 3 distanced by members 8 are interposed between the members 4, 5, and a retaining-member 6 fixed to the member 5 engages faces 7 on the member 4. The members 1, 2 can thus be rotated to any position on their respective guides, and may be caused to overlap each other to any extent. The sections may be of spherical shape, or cylindrical with flat tops. According to the Provisional Specification, the ball races may be arranged to engage the upper and lower faces of a flange on the screens, and the frames of the screens may be other than circular.
