Abstract

1397702 Cabinets BRIEFHOUDER-EN PAPIERNARENFABRIEK PAS BV 4 Sept 1973 [4 Sept 1972] 41481/73 Heading A4B [Also in Division B6] A cabinet e.g. for filing sheets has a drawer 2 slidably located in a box 1 closable by a flap 3, the drawer having a cam 17 which engages a stop 15 on a slidable plate 8 as the drawer is opened, to move the plate forward and open the flap. The plate is mounted vertically in a guide 7 on a sidewall of the box land has a first spring finger 12 which engages the guide to urge the plate upwardly and a second spring finger with a downwardly extending portion on which the stop 15 is mounted, this finger engaging in the guide and urging the plate upwardly as the drawer is opened and, as it does so allowing the cam 17 on the drawer to pass so that the drawer can be removed whilst the flap remains open. The front part of the plate has a curved portion 10 and a raised portion 11 to respectively gradually raise, and hold the flap open. Upon closure of the drawer, the cam engages a stop 16 and pushes the plate back.
