1,000,284. Cabinets. BRIEFHOUDER-EN PAPIERWARENFABRIEK PAS NV. Nov. 29, 1963 [Nov. 30, 1962], No. 47275/63. Heading A4B. A box-like case 1 slidably housing a drawer 2 is provided at its open end with a flap 3 hinged at its upper edge to the case 1, the flap 3 being raised to a horizontal position, on pulling out the drawer 2, by means of a plate member 7 which slides in a guide 19 secured to a side wall 6 of the case 1. The plate 7 carries a resilient finger 12 which engages a pin 10 secured to the drawer 3 so that the plate 7 moves forwardly with the drawer 3 until the finger 12 is disengaged from the pin 10 by being flexed by a wedge 13 on the guide 19, this disengagement taking place after the flap 3 is raised. The plate 7 has a raised portion 16 on its upper edge and a resilient lip 15 on its lower edge, the lip 15 engaging on the guide 19 to press the raised portion 16 against the top of the case 1 and finally against the flap 3 to hold the latter horizontal. A notch is provided in the guide 19 which when engaged by the lip 15 limits inward movement of the plate 7 and drawer 3. A stop 17 on the plate 7 limits outward movement of the latter.
