Abstract

139,596. Mort, J. C., (Representative of Mort, G. F.). Feb. 25, 1919. Work-holders.-An adjustable work-table for drilling and other machines consists of a table 2 provided with a slot 4 on its under surface to receive a part 7 of a cruciform member 5, the other part of which 6 is adapted to be received by a slot 3 in the base 1 at right-angles to the slot in the table, and so allow of adjustment in two directions at right-angles for the purpose of selfcentring. The table is clamped in adjusted position by a pinion-operated screw, Fig. 3, or a wedge-actuated bolt, Fig. 6, by a portion 7 of the cruciform member engaging the parts of the undercut slot in the table, arrangements being made to allow of limited up and down motion of the cruciform member on a bearing ring 14 placed under the head of the securing-bolt 9. The table may be adjustably mounted on an existing machine table.
