1394369 Treating molten iron GEORG FISCHER AG 20 April 1972 [23 April 1971] 18474/72 Heading C7D A vessel for treating moltern iron with vapourizable additives includes a separate inner chamber 6 communicating with the vessel interior through openings 3, 4 in the partition wall 5 enclosing it, the chamber being so located that iron can enter only when the vessel is tilted to its upright position. A closable opening 9 in the outer wall of the vessel provides access to the chamber, while the openings 3, 4 in the partition wall are so orientated that their axes 1, 2 converge towards the former opening, with the angle between the axes preferably bisected by the axis of opening 9. The openings 3, 4 may be provided with replaceable inserts. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1231372
