A tiltable hot-metal mixer comprises a lower part 2 and an upper part 3 placed tightly one upon the other at an abutting surface 4. The upper part 3 is provided with an opening 10 which serves jointly as a pouring-in and discharge port, said opening having a hinged cover 11. The lower part 2, which is of generally spherical shape, includes a removable bottom part 24.
