1369447 Mixing apparatus; discharging BAKER PERKINS Ltd 30 Nov 1972 [1 Dec 1971] 55247/72 Divided out of 1369446 Heading B1C In a method of mixing separate charges of sand with binder, and sand with catalyst, in a mixing chamber using a rotary agitator 2, for the production of foundry moulds or cores, discharge of the mixture begins near the periphery of the agitator and spreads towards its axis. As shown this is effected by a sliding plate 4 with an aperture 5. In another arrangement (Fig. 4, not shown) a portion of the base of the chamber is arranged to swing down about a pivot near the centre thereof.
