1393019 Mining equipment-driving arrangements COAL INDUSTRY (PATENTS) LTD 5 Oct 1973 [13 Oct 1972] 47270/72 Heading E1F In a mineral-mining installation involving a mining machine hauled by a chain 2 along a conveyor, a releasably locking means is provided on the head frame 5 of the conveyor for selective prevention of rotation of the drive sprocket 4 for the chain. Preferably the means comprises a keep pin that, when inserted into a recess. 9 in the head frame, abuts a tooth of the sprocket. The recess 9 may be formed in a plate 9 secured to the wall of the head frame.
