Abstract

1392411 Pile fabrics DEERING MILLIKEN RESEARCH CORP 15 May 1973 [15 May 1972 24 Nov 1972] 23117/73 Heading D1K A pile fabric machine comprises a drum 12 with slidable blades 18 pressed upwards by a cam 76 and a spring loaded blade 17 and presser foot. In use yarns 10 are fed and with a blade 18 raised by the cam 76, the blade 17 is lowered by a cam 78 and the presser foot holds the previously formed loops, the cam 76 then raises the next blade 18, the blade 17 lifts and the cycle recommences. An adhesive coated backing 20 is applied. The drum 12 may be rotated continuously or indexed in steps.
