Abstract

1387122 Garden shears WILKINSON SWORD Ltd 26 June 1972 [15 July 1971] 33258/71 Heading B4B A hand tool, e.g. garden shears, comprises two co-operating members, e.g. blades 10, 11 movable towards and away from one another by handles 16, 17, an abutment member 21, 22 being secured to each handle for limiting the movement of the handles towards one another. The blades are riveted to tangs 14, 15 which are secured to the handles. The abutment members 21, 22 are in the form of plastic mouldings secured by adhesive to the tangs and provided with metal sleeves 24 in which are pressed resilient buttons 26. The tangs are formed with tongues 15b adapted to engage in recesses 22b provided in the abutments.
