Abstract

1386979 Multiplex pulse signalling SIEMENS AG 20 Sept 1972 [24 Sept 1971] 43443/72 Heading H4L In a telecommunications system in which information and corresponding synchronizing signals are transmitted between two multiplex devices, the information signals being transmitted in channels via a multiplex telecommunication line, an additional line which is already being used for signal transmission between the multiplex devices has at least one frequency range which is utilized for the transmission of the sychronizing signals. As described, two P.C.M. t.d.m. exchanges are connected together via a line carrying t.d.m. information signals. The synchronizing circuits of each exchange are connected via respective filters to a further line, the filters allowing other signals on the line to pass along the line and enabling an unused part of the available frequency range to be utilized.
