138,689. Belassie, M. Feb. 1, 1919. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Tripod stands.-Consists in a tripod having the following features in combination : (a) two legs A, B are arranged on oposite sides of a rectangular head N so as to open and close in the same plane, while the third leg C is mounted at rightangles to the other legs; (b) the upper leaf of each hinge is pivoted to the head on a pin P or M: (c) the upper halves of the hinges of the legs A, B are connected by a bar R to ensure rigidity, or are made in one piece. Each end of the bar R may be rigidly secured to the respective hinges, or, as shown in Fig. IV (in which only two of the legs are shown), it may be joined to one hinge by a pin-and-slot connexion. Wing-nuts may be provided, as shown, on the pivot pins which pass through the head.
